BEERspiel 2023

Did you know that curling is the ONLY olympic sport designed to be played with beer? Ok, the Olympians won't be consuming their favourite locally brewed beer ON the ice, but you can bet it is enjoyed before and after! And THAT is why Canadians are amongst the best curlers in the world...we understand the connection between curling and beer better than anyone!

On February 24th-25th you get to enjoy that connection first hand once again as we bring you Hub Town's Second Annual Curling BEERspiel!! 

This is more of a FUNspiel than a bonspiel...our rink and rocks are homemade and imperfect in every way, making it more of a giant game of shuffleboard AND more fun than you can shake a broom at! So don't be afraid...every skill level is welcome! And if that wasn't enough, you also get to enjoy live music from Mike Szabo when it's all said and done!

BEERspiel Event Dates: 

• Friday, February 24th (6pm - 9pm) and
• Saturday, February 25th (12pm - 6pm)

Teams:

• Max 16 teams 
• 3 players / team minimum (you can have more team members, but only two from one team will be on the ice at a time)

Format:

• Round Robin play with four divisions and four teams in each division
• Double Elimination playoff round
• 5 Games Guaranteed (more if you keep winning of course!)
• Maximum of 10 ends / game (and held to a time limit)

Entry Fee: includes your entry fee, welcome beverage and access to our live music night:

- $60/team (Note: this is pricing for a three person team. If you have more people on your team, you will need to get a single ticket for each additional person to cover their fees/beverage and live music).
