You heard it was coming and now that we are three solid months old, we are finally ready to launch this objective and help you meet the charity funding goals we know are so imporant to you and this town!
Hub Town is incredibly proud to announce the launch of our charity beer program, "EVERY OUNCE COUNTS," kicking off in January when we will begin donating a portion of our sales to a new local charity each month!
Here's how it works...
1. Registered charities apply to become part of the program for 2020 by sending us an email (general@hubtownbrewing.com) that tells us all about you and your charity and what your funding goals are for this year. And please don't send out a generic funding request...we want to know who you are and how your charity matters to this incredible community! Oh and the earlier you apply, the more likely you are to be selected so get your proposal in before Christmas to give yourself the best possible chance!
2. Hub Town then sorts through the applications and chooses all TWELVE charities for 2020 and then adds those names into a hat. The order in which each name is pulled will correspond with the twelve months of 2020 and is how each charity's month will be selected.
3. On the first day of each month (or closest day thereafter if the first day falls on a Monday or holiday when Hub Town is closed), Hub Town will host a LAUNCH PARTY for the charity that month. This is where the chosen charity has the opportunity to share their compelling story in an effort to rally the community, in hopes of encouraging them to help reach their charity goal. Launch day is when Hub Town begins counting each ounce of the charity beer sold and continues until the end of the month when we will tally it all up.
5. One day before the end of the month (again, holiday and closed day dependent), Hub Town will host a WRAP UP PARTY for the charity to announce the funds raised and present the donation cheque! This also gives the charity a chance to thank the community that supported them in reaching their goal.
And that's really it...TWELVE Charities over TWELVE months, one charity beer and the chance to raise money for a cause that will boost our community up!
