Join Our Brewery Family!

POSITIONS AVAILABLE ARE SHOWN BELOW...

BEER STEWARD Part Time/Casual/Seasonal:

Hub Town Brewing is looking for part time/casual/seasonal, energetic, highly motivated self starters, who will be authentic Hub Town ambassadors, working to ensure our customers enjoy an incredible beer experience each time they walk through the door.

If you join our brewery family in Okotoks, the heart of the beautiful Alberta Foothills, you will be a part of helping build our culture and creating a community around the beer we are immensely proud of.

If you haven’t already, read our BLOG post, “So you want to work in a brewery.”  We want YOU to be confident that Hub Town is as much a fit for you as you will be for us. Our culture is as important as our beer and we won’t cut corners on either one. Personal integrity, strong people skills and innate kindness are prerequisites for every position we offer.

As part of Hub Town's family you will need to be a hard worker, able to be on your feet for long periods of time, strong enough to manage kegs or other heavy items in the brewery and are willing to wear as many hats as needed during your shift.

A few hats you will be wearing during your time with us:

  • Server – Besides providing excellent customer service, you need to be knowledgeable about craft beer and how important a clean glass and perfect pour are to the beer experience. You are able to recommend a beer style to customers when they are unsure of what to order and can explain the style being recommended in as much detail as the customer needs and wants. You will be filling flights, pints, growlers and crowlers...so you will need to know what each of these are. Hub Town takes serving beer even one step further and will require that you take and pass the Cicerone Server course prior to starting! But so long as you put in 500 hrs with us, we will reimburse you for that training.

  • Taproom Attendant – You will keep close tabs on the taproom by wiping down tables and collecting empty glasses frequently, sweeping and mopping floors as needed and tending to the bathrooms on a proactive frequency.

  • Quality Control – In any brewery quality control program it’s important to have a collection of people that can detect on and off flavours in a beer as well as provide feedback on new recipes so we can ensure we are putting out the highest quality product possible. This means YOU will be called upon to taste test the beer on an as-needed frequency! Tough job right?!

  • Delivery Driver – we have a beer delivery program and you may on occasion need to have your own transportation and a valid drivers license to help deliver beer to our customers and kegs to commercial clients.

  • Beer and Brewing Educator – as a Beer and Brewing Hub, our customers will come in with questions about the beer we brew and the brewing process. The more you know, the better you will be at wearing this hat. A willingness to learn is a huge plus.

  • Event Planner – occasionally you may be asked to help coordinate, plan, facilitate or even help come up with interesting events to hold at the brewery.

  • Brewery Representative - there may be times when we need you to travel to events and serve samples and engage people who may want to know more about us!

Besides those hats, you will use the point of sale system/cash register for all types of purchases, answer customer questions both in person and on the phone and stock shelves with inventory as needed.
