1882 Okotoks Golden Ale

Named to commemorate the year when settlers set up on the banks of our beautiful sheep creek (when their oxen drifted away in a good old Alberta snow storm), this light golden ale was brewed as our Inagural Commercial Release, for all who have found their way to this town that they call home and to the visitors who come to enjoy it.

Brewed to be classically blonde, with expressions of honey dew melon, strawberry and citrus, this deceptively light beer is flavourful, refreshing and crisp to the last drop.

Mister Pink Radler

We couldn’t have anticipated a more flavourful half-beer, lower alcohol beverage than when we created our Mister Pink Radler. Blending grapefruit soda with our 1882 Okotoks Golden Ale, already full of citrus, strawberry and melon flavour and aroma, Mister Pink is a fruity, refreshing radler, perfect for those looking for a little less “beer” and a modest level of tart sweetness. 9 times of out 10 our "wine" drinkers choose Mister Pink.

Oh and in case you were wondering, only the manliest of men drink Mister Pink!

O'Finally Irish Red Ale

Hub Town's O'Finally Irish Red was the first beer brewed in our Okotoks facility and holds the record for longest brew at 21 hrs - see where it got it's name? And although that was a very long time, we know it was worth every minute, because this easy drinking, deep copper red ale, has a malty backbone and a candy-like caramel sweetness with just a touch of toastiness, making it a long standing fan favourite.

Sheep Heid - SCOTCH Ale

It was the winter of 1943 when Christian Engel was stationed in Edinburgh, Scotland for a short stay, before heading to Italy during the Second World War. During that stay, Christian met and fell in love with Catherine Archibald, a beautiful and feisty barmaid, working at the Sheep Heid Inn, the oldest surviving public house in Scotland, established in 1360. After the war, the two moved to Canada where they started their family...Mark’s (owner) family! This Christmas Scotch Ale was brewed for grandma and grandpa!

Get ready to enjoy a plethora of fig and dates, followed by subtle, toasted caramel and a warming finish that tastes like it feels to be wrapped in a loved ones arms.

LAGERHEAD Winter Lager_aka_FESTbier.JPG
LAGERHEAD Bavarian Lager

Ever heard of Loggerheads? The definition is: "two or more people or groups that disagree with each other strongly." It seems that today, we have more loggerheads than we have ever seen before, which is why we created Lagerhead...a beer everyone can agree on!

This Ultra SMOOTH, Bavarian Lager is going to knock your lager-loving socks off with it's crystal clear, deep golden hue, sweet malty backbone and slightly crisp finish! In fact, it's so good that 40 year anchorman Darrel Janz told us it's the "best lager he's ever had!"

Colour Blind Belgian-Style IPA

West Coast IPA meets Belgian Witbier!!

This IPA has reached the pinnacle of being a clean and crisp, hop forward beer by marrying  two very distinct and popular beer styles into one.  Besides its crushability, this IPA has a light enough body that the citrusy/piney hop flavour and bitterness shines through to keep your hoppy attention! And yes you will notice the sweet, fruity esters on the back end of every sip...you're welcome!

Don't Hassel The Hefe

**SILVER AWARD WINNER in the Alberta Beer Awards**

This cloudy, pale AWARD WINNING beer with a pillowy soft head stacked on top, seriously pushes the boundaries of the classic German hefeweizen, much like its namesake, pushes the boundaries of awesomeness!

With subdued clove and a bountiful presence of sweet banana esters (naturally produced with an incredible german yeast strain), we have brewed this light, wheaty beer to challenge what you thought a hefeweizen could be.

Hefe's WeirDunkel

We all have a weird uncle and this one is Hefe's!

Even with his rich mohogany colour and malty, munich backbone, Hefe's WeirDunkel still enjoys that bounty of banana and clove that you know and love in your German wheat beers, but this Dunkelwiezen is just different enough to keep you entertained for hours!

Hoppyright Infringement HAZY NEIPA

Previously released as "Hazed & Confused IPA" this hazed up, fruit explosion, built around a multitude of citrus-centric hops (that we gathered up last minute like mad scientists when our hop order didn't make it to us in time) sold out in no time flat and created enough "buzz" to garner the attention of a brewery way out in Eastern Canada, selling a brew under the same name!

Now known as "hoppyright Infringement," we re-released this wildly popular, fruity New England style IPA that is brimming with citrusy hop flavour and aroma while expressing a sweet candy background at its peak! Known to have very low bitterness and an incredible creamy white head, this beer has been a huge fan favourite since day one!

Prodigal Hon-ey Brown Ale

This dark copper English Brown Ale is as smooth as it gets with just a hint of local, sweet Chinook honey to balance out the refreshing, medium malt body that makes this beer a winner among all who try it. But be prepared because one glass of this caramelly delight just won't be enough!

Nightmare OFF Elma Street RED IPA

If you're as old as we are, you'll remember Freddy and the catchy tune..."one, two Freddy's coming for you...three, four better lock your door..."

This BLOOD RED IPA is not the gentle red ale you've known and loved...instead it finds it's way into your hop-loving nightmares with a fresh cut of citrusy hops and a malty, caramel/toffee backbone, confusing you into thinking, "is this real?" But don't worry, this beer does not have a bitter bite to it like some other halloween brews..it's smooth like the edges of Freddy's razors and bound to leave you with more than just a memory of it!

This brew is only available each year during our "Nightmare OFF Elma Street" halloween event, between October 16-31st! But don't worry, just like Freddy, it will always come back.
